Yes, appointments are highly recommended, especially on the weekends. Making an appointment is easy. Just give us a call or email us. This ensures we will have a consultant available to give you the best customer service.
Note: A credit card on file is required to book a bridal appointment. Your card will be charged if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the schedule appointment time, or if you do not show up for your appointment. If you need to change or cancel your appointment before the 24-hour window, please call us at 225.925.1135 to reschedule your appointment and you will not be charged.
Bring pictures of bridal gowns that you are interested in. This will give your consultant an idea of what you are looking for. It's always a good idea to have a comfortable budget in mind. Gowns can range from $1000-$6000 in our store. Be sure to bring comfortable garmets with you. We ask that you wear a minimal amount of makeup so we can keep our gowns looking their best.
We currently carry sizes 8-32W in bridal gowns. Our formals range from 0-26.
Trunk shows are held on specific weekends during regular business hours. Trunk shows include the most recent collection of gowns by the designer. These gowns are only in the store during that weekend. We do offer special pricing on gowns during that time only by that designer. Sometimes a designers or representatives will attend.
Most special orders take 4-6 months to come in. You will also need time for alterations (most tailors need ample time to alter your gown). Ordering your gown 9-12 months in advance is ideal. Don't forget about bridal portraits, these are typically done 2-3 months before your wedding. Don't panic if you are short on time. We are here to help you with various rush options offered by select companies.

A deposit of 50% is required upon ordering your gown with 3 monthly payments of the remaining amount. All sales are final. No cancellations, exchanges, returns, or refunds on any merchandise. In the case of a canceled or postponed wedding, all merchandise must be paid in full and picked up within 30 DAYS OF ARRIVAL. We decline any responsibility for any merchandise not picked up beyond the original wedding date. Money put down on any merchandise constitutes a sale.
When your gown arrives, we will contact you by phone or email.
Merchandise may be picked up from lay-away on Monday through Friday ONLY between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. For security reasons, the lay-away area is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Please do not ask employees to pull merchandise during these days as they are required to follow this store policy.
Designer gowns come in sizes, not by measurements. It is rare that a bridal gown will not need alterations. Most gowns will need a hem and a bustle sewn in. Alterations should be expected with any gown. Based on your measurements, we will consult with you to order the size that will need the least amount of alterations. If you disagree on the recommended size, please let us know. This is your dress and we will order the size you are comfortable with.
We do not offer in-house alterations. We can refer you to a tailor in Baton Rouge with experience.
